About NAFIS

The National Association of Family Information Services (NAFIS) is a registered charity that supports, links and promotes children's information services (FIS) in Great Britain. NAFIS represents a network of quality children's information services.

Our members benefit from a range of support services including, training, publications, electronic communication facilities and regular networking opportunities. Our membership is made up of FIS providers in Great Britain and their key partners in the UK.

NAFIS have also developed a nationally recognised quality assurance scheme to confirm that a children's information service meets the NAFIS Quality Standards and exceeds the minimum standards required by Sure Start. These standards were endorsed by Rt. Hon. Margaret Hodge, when she was Minister for Children, Young People and Families.

The closing date for both posts is 5th September 2008 and interview dates are 15th and 16th September.
